Three weeks ago, a newborn baby arrived at my home in desperate need of love and tender care. Hubby found a day old kitten hanging by its neck, all tangled up in some frayed industrial fencing. My husband said it took a lot of time and careful effort to free the tiny kitten from its death trap and that he kept the now freed kitten near where he found him for hours but the kitten’s mother never came back for him – she probably figured the little fella was a goner. So Hubby brought the orphaned infant kitteh home to me, of course.
The tiny kitty wouldn’t take kitten formula from an eye dropper or small bottle, but our momma cat Sky was still nursing her two month old kitten Pumpkin, so we put the baby with her and she adopted it. Daddy kitty Slatey adopted it as well! We named the kitten Telly and he was about the same size as Sky’s kitten CC was when CC passed away. Pumpkin loves her new sibling even though she sometimes plays with him as if he were a mouse (he IS mouse sized) and she cuddles him at nap time.
