RadioZilla – Updated – Audio Recording of the Show Now Available!

On Saturday, July 7, at 10:00 AM EST I will be a guest on DaTechGuy’s radio show! If you are in the Boston listening area, you can tune in with your radio to WCRN 830AM, you can also listen online at the WCRN website, HERE. You can call in to the show at 1-888-9-FEDORA. If I am able to get a recording of the show after it’s over, I’ll be sure to either post it here at the blog or link to wherever Peter will have it, so even if you can’t tune in, you can still listen to it.

I’ve never been a guest on the radio before so I am excited and a little nervous, and being that I am still so sick, I will be sure to take my pain and other meds and cough syrup so I won’t be making a bunch of awful sick people noises on the air; hopefully the meds won’t make me dopey though (or at least any dopier than what has become my “new normal” dopiness of late). Please tune in if you can and you will get to hear my lovely Lawn Guyland accent that I still haven’t lost despite having moved up to NY’s Hudson Valley well over 16 years ago.

My friend Karen at The Lonely Conservative assures me that Peter’s show is a lot of fun, I have spoken to him on the phone a few times and he’s a super cool guy, so I am looking forward to it, but y’all please wish me luck anyway because I do have a bit of the jitters.

I’m still trying to raise funds to enable the continuation of my fight against the damned tick diseases that have been so destructive to my body, my mind, and my life, please help if you can (and prayers are also needed and are greatly appreciated). My 40th birthday is a week and a half away (on the 17th) and I can think of no gift that would mean more to me right now than getting help to save my life.Thank you to all the nice people who have chipped in thus far, and God bless you!

UPDATE – July 7, 2012 9:40 AM: Today is the day! I’ll be on in just a little while, wish me luck! You can listen online via TuneIn or WCRN.com. I’ll try to post a recording of it if Peter puts one up later.

UPDATE II – July 7, 2012 9:00 PM: I had a great time on Da Radio with Da Techguy. I was nervous at first, but that quickly passed and Peter was very gracious in giving me the opportunity to talk about late stage advanced Lyme and other tick borne diseases, the bad politics and bureaucratic shenanigans that create barriers which prevent desperately ill people from getting the care they so badly need, and how Obamacare will take an already bad situation among the tick disease afflicted and make it far worse – and how the rest of America will come to know the nightmare that thousands of people in the Lyme community already live when the rest of the country loses their medical freedom too, and how I personally need help to fight for my life against these miserable diseases.

If you were not able to catch the show when it aired, don’t worry, as soon as Peter has a podcast recording of it available I will post it (or a link to it) here at the Zilla blog. In the mean time, if you’d like to learn more about some of the things I brought up on the show, here are some resources:

My most recent medical update post is HERE

While I greatly enjoyed being on the show and I am very happy to have been able to do something to help raise awareness about advanced late stage Lyme and related tick borne diseases, I ended up back in bed for most of the day afterward because I am so weak lately that it doesn’t take much to wipe me out these days. Tomorrow I will leave early in the morning for the 100 mile round trip to my specialist’s office; I am fortunate that they have Sunday hours (they are open every single day because many of their patients require daily IV infusions of medicine) but the journey always takes a lot out of me – please wish me luck for a safe trip and if you are able to, please consider helping me to continue fighting this illness – and of course, prayers are also greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Update III – July 10, 2012 8:45 AM: The audio recording of the show is now available! Click HERE to listen! Thanks again to Peter DaTechguy for giving me the opportunity to help raise awareness of late stage advanced Lyme Disease and other tick borne diseases and the political and bureaucratic nightmare that the afflicted and the handful of brave doctors who are willing to help them have to deal with. Huge Thank Yous also to Big Fur Hat at iOwnTheWorld and to Whoopie at Waznmentobe for putting up new blog posts telling everyone where they could listen to the podcast of the show after Peter made it available last night while I was too ill to post about it myself (my hands were not cooperating with my brain yesterday so the letters got all jumbled up every time I tried to type anything which made it a bad day to try to do much of anything online). I am still recovering from the long trip to my specialist’s office the other day which takes a lot out of me, but I hope to be able to put up a new post soon addressing some of the things we talked about on Saturday’s radio show some time soon.
