Davy Jones of the Monkees has died, he was 66 years old and had suffered a fatal heart attack at his home this morning, TMZ reports. When I was a little girl in the 1970s, the local TV station would air re-runs of The Monkees on daytime television and I just loved them, they were so cheerful, fun, and cute. Davy never lost his cuteness either, even as the years passed, he was still adorable and charming. Even just 11 days ago, he was performing live and was still a ray of sunshine.
Here is a video that TMZ.com posted which shows Davy performing in New York City on February 18th, he still had it going on:
Clearly the crowd loved it too.
Here’s “I’m a Believer” from the Monkees TV show:

Rest in Peace, Davy Jones, thank you for the music, the smiles and the memories.
